Natural Absorption Mod 1.12.2/1.10.2. Felt like armor just isn’t doing the job for you? Tried disabling your health regen, but just found it too unforgiving? Well, Natural Absorption will solve your everyday needs and even do your laundry for you! (Warning: does not do your laundry.)

This small mod gives you permanent absorption health that regenerates over time. The shield is not a potion effect, and will therefore stack with the absorption potion effect! In addition, it adds a new enchantment you can get on your armor to increase your max absorption health! You even replace armor’s reduction entirely with absorption (disabled by default).

There’s a properties file that allows you to change just about everything relating to natural absorption, from how much you start with and the max you can earn to how quickly it regenerates and how much you lose on death! If you want to disable the enchantment or even restrict it to only the enchant, you have that option as well! The properties file is generated in the ‘config’ folder in your .minecraft directory.

First off, when you spawn, you’ll notice you have two yellow hearts (by default) on top of your health bar. That is your absorption health. Absorption health is always damaged before regular health, unless you fall out of the world.

Whenever you take damage, your shield is disrupted and won’t regenerate absorption health for some time (default: 10 seconds). After that time is up, your shield will start regenerating fairly quickly (default: 1 heart/sec).

Your natural absorption health stacks with the absorption potion effect. This mod changes the effect of absorption potions (by technicality) to simply increase your maximum natural absorption. That means absorption health from potion effects (only golden apples in vanilla) will now regenerate with the rest of your shield! You could even set players’ starting and max natural shield to 0 just to use this mod as a buff to absorption potions, so they behave much closer to the original absorption potions that completely refilled every 30 seconds and were actually useful.

Two hearts? Are you trying to kill me? Well yes, but that’s unrelated to this mod.

In addition to your base absorption, you can also have additional max absorption health through enchanted equipment. Any armor can be enchanted with Absorption, which will increase your max absorption when worn. If armor replacement mode is enabled in the config (it is not by default), all damage dealt to players will ignore armor. Instead, players’ armor points will contribute to their maximum absorption health based on the multiplier set in the config.

You are able to increase your base maximum absorption health through infusion. Be careful, however; dying will reduce your maximum absorption!

Increasing Max Absorption:

Several things are required to infuse yourself with natural absorption energy:

• A book
• Gold
• Apples
• Gold
• Experience

Books have long been known to contain arcane powers, such as the ability to hold powerful magics. Using this trait, you can bind the magical energy of golden apples – the only known source of absorption – to a book, which allows those energies to be controlled and refined.
As usual, infusing the magical properties from a book comes at a cost. You must provide experience as fuel and the book will ultimately be consumed in the process.
However, you do not need an anvil to use this book. You’re not enchanting an item; you are infusing this book’s power into your very own flesh and blood.

Increasing your maximum absorption is a two-step process:

The first step is to make yourself a Book of Absorption. The default crafting recipe for this book calls for one book and eight standard golden apples.
Yes, eight. To clarify, that’s one leather, three sugar cane, eight apples, and one full stack of gold ingots (64).
Simply surround your book with golden apples on the crafting table, and out comes the precious Book of Absorption!

Alternate Recipes (to replace the above, set in config):

The recipes are broken into ids in the config file. You may choose whichever best suits you by setting it in the config.

In addition, you have to option to make the recipe require a book and quill instead of a regular book. This is mostly for compatibility reasons, but you may just want to force people in to needing more random things!

0 – No recipe.
Books of Absorption will not be craftable if the recipe is set to 0.

Great! Now you just need to infuse the Book of Absorption with your experience, much like applying an enchanted book to an item through an anvil, only you are the item and your face is the anvil. The default level requirement is 30, equivalent to a max-tier enchantment at an enchantment table.

Once you right click the book and meet the level requirement, the book and your levels will be consumed to apply a permanent boost (default: 2 hearts) to your maximum natural absorption. This also instantly increases your current absorption health by the same amount.

Death and You:

When you die, you lose two hearts from your maximum natural absorption (by default)!

Don’t worry your head too much, though. The default settings won’t let death penalty bring you below four hearts of max absorption health. That means, the two hearts you start with and the two hearts you gain from your first Book of Absorption are safe forever. After that, each death undoes one book’s effects.

You may want to play it safe.

Survivalist Mod 1.16.5/1.15.2 is a mod oriented toward making early-game slightly more involved, so that you can’t just mindlessly, but also trying to avoid an excessive feeling of “what have I done to deserve this?”.

Features:

Everything listed below can be turned off on the config file:

• Sticks are no longer directly craftable from planks.
  • Get them by placing sheared leaves and saplings in a crafting grid.
  • Break planks into sticks in the Chopping Block.
• Rocks and Ore Rocks
  • Mining stone drops rocks (4) instead of cobble. In order to craft cobblestone, you’ll need clay.
    • Andesite, Diorite and Granite drop rocks, too.
    • Any 4 will turn into gravel, which can be crafted again into 4 generic rocks. All the cobblestone!
    • The corresponding blocks are crafted by surrounding a ball of clay with 8 rocks.
  • Mining iron/gold now drops ore rocks (2..4), which smelt for one nugget each.
  • Mod Ore Rocks and their corresponding nuggets
    • Metals supported: Copper, Tin, Lead, Silver
    • Same rules as the gold and iron rocks
• Tools and armor drop one of their crafting components.
  • Enchant tools with Scraping I/II/III to increase the chances it’s the GOOD item.
  • Enchant armor with Scraping I/II/III to increase the chances it’s two instead.
• Craftable chainmail!
  • Iron nuggets in a diamond shape make chainmail pieces
  • Chainmail pieces are then materials for crafting the armor.
• Torches can set things on fire!
  • But they have a rather high chance of breaking in the process.
• Drying rack
  • Turn meat into jerky: not too nutritive, but highly saturating.
  • Turn leather (which really, should be called hide), into tanned leather, for improved armour.
• Chopping block
  • Crafted from Logs
  • Click repeatedly until the placed block breaks (TODO: allow continuous holding)
  • Allows chopping logs into planks
  • Allows chopping planks into sticks
  • Yield depends on axe harvest level (be careful, using your hands has a high probability of not yielding any item!)
  • NEW: You can chop wool into strings (although it’s a rather inefficient process — and will never yield more string than needed to make a wool block)

Getting Started:

The first surprise for a long-time Minecraft player, will be that you can’t just punch a tree and get sticks out of the wood. Instead, the easy way to get sticks is to remove the branches out of the saplings (that is, you craft them on any grid).

Or maybe, your first instinct is to get a crafting grid by turning one Log into planks… except that won’t work anymore. You have to first create a chopping block, then place a log on it, and then chop, chop, chop…. click repeatedly, you can’t just leave the mouse button down (not yet implemented). Note however, that your hands are not that good at chopping, so you will want to get some sort of Axe as soon as possible. The better the axe, the more effective chopping will be.

So, you finally got your crafting grid. You made yourself some wooden tools, and tried to get some cobblestone, right? Then you have discovered that it’s not so easy. Cobblestone is not free anymore. You will have to find a lake, and get some clay from it, so that you can combine 8 rocks into one block of cobblestone.

Early defense

If you happen to have some torches around, and you encounter an enemy with no weapon at hand, why don’t you try sticking it into their eyes? Chances are it will break, but you’ll at least have the mob scrambling around in flames…. be careful with that.

Smelting

Your next step will be to find some iron, as usual, except iron ore now drops a bunch of ore rocks. As soon as you put them on the furnace, you’ll realize they turn into nuggets, rather than full ingots. Don’t worry you can craft them into ingots later, you’ll just need to mine a bit more than usual.

Food and Armor

By this point, you may be wondering how long it will take for you to craft a full iron set. The good news is, you don’t need to! You can use 4 iron nuggets in a diamond shape to craft a piece of chain-mail. Then you can use those pieces of chain-mail in the usual shapes to make chain armor.

If that feels too slow, you can explore the field instead. Go prancing around until you find some cows, and slaughter them into leather and beef. Don’t craft yourself leather armor just yet! That’s really raw hide you have there! You’ll want to tan it into proper leather first, using the Drying Rack. And while you are at it, you may want to put some cooked beef in it to make jerky. If you try to dry it raw, it will spoil before it’s done! Not that it matters, since you can actually turn spoiled meat into jerky too. Jerky isn’t too nutritious, but it will keep you distracted for a bit.

Scraping

You may be used to think that when things break, there’s nothing left for you to reuse. That’s no longer the case.

When a tool or armor breaks, you’ll get one of the pieces it was crafted with. There’s a Scraping enchantment, that can help with recovering better materials out of it.

Silk touch

You can work around the rock mechanics by using Silk Touch tools. Ores will drop the ore, cobble and stone will drop themselves. Once you have silk touch, you can just get yourself a cobble generator and get as many of it as you want.

The Drone Disruptor is a craftable item that will send out an ‘EMP’ signal which will destroy any non player drones within range.

This is a 1 use item.

Drone Constructor

The Drone Constructor is a craftable item that will spawn a player owned drone. The drone will display the player’s head as a way of showing it’s owner. Player drones have a ranged attack laser that will shoot 2 beams, on a small cool down, that will harm hostile mobs but not other player drones or players. Player drones will follow their owners and also melee attack hostile targets.

This is a 1 use item.

Configs:

• There are several configuration options available to change how the mod works including mob damage, health and spawning rules.
• The in game config menu available from the ‘mods’ tab on the main menu allows you to customise many aspects.
• Drones will not spawn in The Nether, The End, and any Biome that has an Ore Dictionary type of WATER or OCEAN.
• Any settings in the config file based on ‘days’ are set as in game days from when you 1st started your world.

The first step in the mod is finding a Tea Tree. These trees can be found in forests across the world.

Use shears to shear the leaves off of the branches, or an axe to break them! Breaking pieces with leaves on them will drop tea leaves, and occasionally a tea sapling! After shearing a piece with leaves, they will regrow over time. You’ll also get some sticks!

Now that you have some tea, you’ll need a few things to use it. First, craft some tea bags like so.

You’ll also want a tea cup!

…and a teapot! But you’ll need to fill it.

Right-click the teapot on some water to fill it…

…then stick it in a furnace to boil the water inside!

Put some tea in a tea bag…

…and presto! You have a cup of fresh green tea! Each teapot has enough water for four cups of tea before you have to refill and reboil it.

You can also dry out some fresh tea leaves…

…and get black tea! Because realism. You can use black tea instead of green tea in all the previous recipes, and cups of black tea will provide a bit more saturation and hunger points than green.

A cup of tea can be drunk from twice before it is emptied. It can also be drunk even if your hunger is full, if you want to just have a sip!

• Make a Golem Spell by combining 1 Feather, 1 Redstone, 1 Ink Sack, and 1 Paper in a crafting grid.
• Make a Golem Head by combining a Golem Spell and a pumpkin: the block looks the same because all you did is stuff a magical paper inside.

To build a golem, start by placing blocks in a ‘T’ formation, similar to the Iron Golem layout. Finally, place a Golem Head on top. Once created, golems act like vanilla Iron Golems, killing monsters left and right and defending your fort / base / testificate prison.

Tired of losing your stuff from falling into the void? Now you get a second chance! Unforgiving Void Mod 1.17.1/1.16.5 will sends you to the Nether when you fall in the Void instead of killing you. Of course, there is still the matter of escaping the Nether, but you’ll figure it out. Depending on the configuration, you may be provided with obsidian upon falling into the Nether to build a portal with(enabled by default). As of the newest version, you can also choose to enable a platform for when you would otherwise land in lava. This does not have to be installed client-side to work.

Prefab Mod 1.17.1/1.16.5 is a collection of functional and aesthetic buildings that you can take straight from the crafting table and place them into your world instantly. With instant houses and structures, you can skip over the time consuming job of terraforming, and trying to build without a creeper undoing your work. The preview function lets you see the structure in the world, and move through a projection of it in real time. Just pick the place you want to put it, and the Prefab Blueprints do the rest! This mod is a spinoff of the starter house, previously a part of WuestUtilities. It is meant to be a companion to WuestUtilities, but works just fine without it.

Configurable Starter House – Tired of spending your first day or two just trying to lock down the basics of survival? This handy little item simply requires you only provide one thing. A location! Tools, Food and Shelter, in one convenient quick start package. Perfect for players that want to get a jumpstart on their survival games. Alternate Player Housing is now integrated and available to choose from the same Starter House pattern.

Warehouse – This is a mid to late game structure which will contain all of your storage and vanilla machine needs. There’s a lot of materials needed for the crafting recipe but it will be worth it.

Upgraded Warehouse – Same as the warehouse, but the top floor is populated with enchanting tables, brewing stands and anvils.

Chicken Coop – A place for your chickens to call home!

Advanced Chicken Coop – A more efficient dual-chamber coop design that automatically collects drops from the chickens in the upper chamber, and also allows you to keep chickens in the lower chamber to use for food. Chickens can be added to the upper chamber by filling the installed dispenser with eggs. While you can manually trigger the dispenser via the included button, we recommend installing a redstone clock next to it to automatically fire any loaded eggs for you.

Horse Stable – A nice small shelter to park your noble steed, companion donkey, or irritating nag.

Advanced Horse Stable – You haven’t seen equestrian flair like this since the Gangnam Style music video! Includes 4 stalls; perfect for multiplayer, or horse breeding.

Barn – Tired of sharing a cramped one bedroom house with a couple of actual pigs? Sick of inconsiderate cows creepily watching while you change? Sheep ironing your pants all wrong? This is the building for you. With 16 total pens, you can separate sheep by wool color, or even just use the outer pens as a buffer to prevent already captured livestock from escaping while you lure new livestock into captivity their doom a better life.

Produce Farm – A lit, tilled field with irrigation and fencing, for all of your various crop needs.

Note: Structure is provided as seen; pre-tilled, but not populated with produce.

Tree Park – A park-like setting for planting/farming/cultivating your trees!

Note: Trees are not included in the design, so you are free to populate them with any of your choosing.

Monster Masher – Need some EXP or just some some mob drops? This is the structure for you! With a spawner for Zombies, Skeletons, Spiders and Creepers you will have plenty of loot to use. The building comes with chests to store all of that loot. You will still have to kill the monsters yourself. You can even turn the spawning on and off with a flip of a lever thanks to a system of redstone lamps.

Note: The monsters will still have a fair amount of health when they drop into the first floor. Be sure you have a weapon. While they cannot escape, they can still hit you if you get too close.

Nether Gate – In between the villager’s incoherent chattering, I was able to make out the legend of a mythical beast who’s flames were so intense, they were thought to have been conjured forth from hell itself! Though the beast is long dead, its remains lend some validity to the legend.

Note: You have to light the obsidian as per usual, before you can go to the Nether. But it’s a large portal and has a slick little nether scene embedded behind it.

Bridge – A new little multi-use recipe that serves 2 functions. You can either place it against liquid to create a bridge over water/lava/any mod liquid. Alternatively, if you’re not targeting a liquid, or ground block, you can place the bridge in mid air to create skyways. The bridge goes for 50 blocks, and is lit with torches, and has 10 use charges. Lastly, this wonderful little tool also includes the preview function built in (displays a phantom length of 5 blocks so you can see where it starts in relation to where you’re facing).

Machinery Tower – If you want a basic building space (but inside because the outside can be dark and scary), this is the building for you. Comes with enough space for machines and comes with a skylight for those machines which need sunlight. There is even a small rail system for minecarts to be transferred between the ground floor and the roof. The roof is completely lite and open for those machines which need to be outside.

Structure Preview – All structure GUIs include a “preview” button. This will create a shadow structure in the world for you to see what it will look like when it’s placed. This will give you the opportunity to make sure that you have enough space for the structure or to make sure that it will be placed where you want it to be placed. Block facings for fences, torches and other similar blocks will most likely not have their proper facing when rendered in this fashion, they will look correct when placed.

Note: The only structure you cannot preview at this time is the Basic Starter House, all other starter house types can be previewed.

Compressed Dirt: This is block used in the recipes for the other structures provided by this mod.

This block is crafted by filling up a crafting table grid (3×3 grid) with Dirt.

This block can also be obtained by putting a Double Compressed Dirt block in a crafting grid. Doing this will yield 9 Compressed Dirt.

The player decompress this block back down to Vanilla Dirt by placing the block in a crafting grid.

Paper Lantern: This is a block which is a new light source block. This is primarily used in recipes and structures in this mod for structures designed to be obtainable before the player enters the nether. This block produces the same amount of light as a torch.

Compressed Obsidian: This is a block which is a storage block for Obsidian. This is the first tier of compressed Obsidian added by this mod.

Phasic Block: This is a block which allows a player to pass through it when the block is interacted with (right-click) or receives a redstone signal.

Note: When this block is phased out it cannot be interacted with in any way by the player. Though it may be destroyed by things such as explosions. The player will also fall through this block if it is phased out.

Note:This block will cascade it’s visibility to up to 100 other neighboring Phasic Blocks when it is interacted with or receives/stops receiving a redstone signal. If you place a Phasic Block next to an already invisible Phasic Block you will have to turn the redstone signal off and then on again to make the new block invisible. This is intended.

Boundary Block: This is a block which is invisible when it’s first placed in the world. The player however can walk on top of it and cannot pass through it. This block is great for invisible floors and/or walls. The block will become visible when it receives a redstone signal.

Note:This block will cascade it’s visibility to up to 100 other neighboring Boundary Blocks when it receives or stops receiving a redstone signal. If you place a Boundary Block next to an already visible Boundary Block you will have to turn the redstone signal off and then on again to see your new block. This is intended.

How to install:

2. Locate the minecraft application folder.
   • On windows open Run from the start menu, type %appdata% and click Run.
   • On mac open finder, hold down ALT and click Go then Library in the top menu bar. Open the folder Application Support and look for Minecraft.
3. Place the mod you have just downloaded (.jar file) into the Mods folder.
4. When you launch Minecraft and click the mods button you should now see the mod is installed.
